He is risen!

I LOVE Easter. It is probably my favorite holiday all year. I love the reason we are celebrating, I love the decorations, I love that it is not stress filled like Christmas, I love Easter morning service, I love that my kids are not ALL ABOUT the bunny-he's just an added bonus, I love to hear my little Z say, "He's alibe, He's alibe!", I love watching the kids hunt eggs, I love that it is a doorway into Spring, I love all the beautiful flowers, and I love hosting Easter at my house every year. It is just the perfect day.

We had a wonderful Easter morning seeing what all the Bunny had left. We dressed the boys up in their new outfits and headed out for a great service at church.

This is my attempt at using the timer to capture a family picture. I don't think I'll be framing this one!

This is my handsome little guy sporting his very first seersucker sportcoat. I could eat him up!

Ok, so maybe Easter wasn't ALL "perfect." The picture below pretty much captures the whole mood for us while we were putting the finishing touches on getting ready and snapping a few pictures. The face (and the very stronghold of Daddy's hand) says it all.

I like your family picture--I think it's great! Your dress is really pretty. And the boys all look so nice--the kids'outfits are precious! I'm with you on all the reasons for loving Easter. It was just the 4 of us here, but I cooked dinner last night for the holiday (instead of popcorn). I was a little depressed when I was eating a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch knowing that my mom's side of the family was all gathering at my aunt's house for a homemade feast. I always loved going to her house on Easter Sunday. Our service at church was wonderful yesterday. It was a good day. This is a long comment--I think I should have just sent an e-mail! :)

P.S. I had to laugh when I saw the last picture of Z's face and B's grip on his arm. I don't know why R was in a cooperative mood on Sunday...it was very unusual, but nice.

Hilarious! I am sure that you are getting payback from your younger days? I have a couple of memories crying in my Sunday finest! T looked very handsome in his sport coat. What a gorgeous family!

Your boys looked so sweet and YOU look fabulous! Ana has been a little stinker lately herself, and after requesting more than once, I heard her say, "I don't want to get in trouble on Easter day!"

What a beautiful family! I'm glad to hear you love Easter for the same reason I love it....the real reason we even celebrate it! It just makes so much more sense and is more significant now that we are older! Sadly, some just don't get it.
