Game Day

I have reported on the fact that Z is a minority on his soccer team before. Never has it been more obvious than on our first game day. If I hadn't seen it for myself, I truly wouldn't believe it!

Our team name--BIMBO! Don't know what that exactly means in Spanish, but in my language it has a meaning that I don't necessarily want on my kid's jersey.

Yes, that is a beer logo on the back of his shirt. You may not be able to tell that the coach tried to mark it out with a sharpie marker because the league will not allow sponsors such as Corona on 4 year olds' uniforms. Imagine that!

My little one was still adorable and had a good time playing. The other team didn't show so our team had a scrimmage among themselves. Here are some pictures of him playing and of his entire fan club that showed to support him.

BTW, the coach told us that he would supply us with socks, and didn't bring them. That is why my child has shin guards on with no socks over them.

He is the cutest "Bimbo" ever! FYI-Bimbo is a brand of bread in Mexico.

Such funny but great memories you're making here--the Bimbo Corona uniform--priceless! Bless coach's heart for working with the Sharpie! Z looks so cute and looks like he has a very serious fan club!

The coach scratching out the liquor logo is priceless. You will laugh about that with Z when he's older.
