Friday Fun

The sleepover was a success. Zachary's friend stayed the whole night without any problems. They had a blast and finally passed out on the couch at 1 am! I heard them giggling at 7 this morning. Could be worse, I guess!

Trent hasn't left their sides once. He didn't make it as late as they did, but he sure gave it his best shot.

I wanted to kick off the weekend (and May!) with some cute things that I've been recording from the mouths of my babes.

*Each morning we pray in the car on the way to school. I always ask the boys if they have anything they would like for me to pray about. Usually the answer is no. Apparently Trent remembers all the important things that he wants to pray about mid-prayer. He begins yelling things like COW, BEAVERS, PAWPAW from the backseat as I pray. I repeat them and continue. One day this week, he never quit and we arrived to school STILL praying and walked thru the doors with him still naming things... Bless his heart, he is one thankful little boy!

*Brandon and I picked the boys up from school one day this week as a couple for the first time ever. (They were pumped that Daddy was there.) On the way home Trent said, "I not like that girl." He and Brandon had a discussion and figured out that he was talking about the lady in the car next to us. We asked him why he didn't like her. He answered, "Hers not cute."

*After spending some time with my mom Zachary said, "Know what Grandmaw calls Tank? (her dog) GUN of a SON!"

*Zachary was playing doctor with KK recently. She thought that they had actually cut her forehead because apparently they were using excessive force...surprising, I know. Zachary inspected her head and told her she was fine...it was just her wrinkles!

*I was trying to get the boys in the bathtub one night after they had been around cigarette smoke. I said, "Come on, you're filthy and you smell like smoke." Trent answered, "I not smoke today."

*On our first outing at the pool, Trent had an accident in his pants. (Thankfully in his pants and didn't share it with the other swimmers!) I took him inside to clean him up and he said, "I'm SO mad I pooped my swimsuit."

*Trent told us that the prettiest girl in his class was Halloweena. (Lena is her actual name.)

*When we were discussing Zachary having a spend the night guest, he told me that next time he wanted to have Sam come. He said, "I know you don't know his parents, but I know him real well 'cause I am in school with him every day."

BTW, I've known both his mom and dad for over 20 years. Another advantage of growing up in a small town!:)

*We have all kinds of rules trying to break the pacifier habit. Trent can't play outside with the pacie, he can't talk to us while it's in his mouth, no sucking it in public, etc. When we arrived at a t-ball game this week (an off limits zone) he announced, "And this game, I'm having my pacie!"

*Zachary got the game ball awarded to him last night after his t-ball game. He got 3 great hits (one off of live pitching) and made an out. Way to go, Z!

Life is so much fun right now. Time, please freeze!

Glad the overnight guests idea went well! The boys are too funny! Congratulations to Zachary and on time standing still, something I just read will hopefully help:
With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

You know I check every day for these stories! I wish you lived here or I lived there. You wouldn't be able to get rid of me.
