Lead foot

Sister and I both were pulled over by cops on Friday. Somehow, we both escaped getting a ticket. I was telling my stepdad about our little mishaps and he was commenting how much my mom, sister and I get pulled over and how much money we pay in fines. He cracked me up when he said, "If ya'll stopped driving they would have to raise taxes."

By the way, he has gotten ONE ticket in his lifetime and he can tell you who, what, when (1960 something), where, and how fast...and I am pretty sure it somehow wasn't his fault!

I'm sure I'll get a ticket tomorrow after bragging, but I've had one ticket in my life, too (been stopped a lot more). It was Mother's Day 2000, coming back from Flippin. I had to call in to find out the fee or whatever on Monday, and I remember calling from the audit room at ALLTEL and everyone I worked with heard me and teased me. Everywhere we EVER went growing up my Dad got a ticket...moving me to college my freshman year, coming home from my aunt's on Thanksgiving right after I got my first car (he was driving), on the way home from my bowling birthday party--there were about 18 giggling girls in the back--I'm sure none of us were wearing seat belts, but I guess that wasn't a law back in the day. :) This is the longest comment ever...guess I should have sent an email. ha!

Maybe we are somehow related then???? I'm not even going to tell how many tickets I've had in the last 9 years...I don't know that our mom has ever had one, but I guess I take after dad, we can't seem to get behind the wheel without getting pulled over...Micaela

Seems like the police that patrol Chenal Pkwy in LR seemed to know your car, too. I often think of that as I am speeding down that hill....

Funny you mention that...I got pulled over sunday morning. I was on my way back into Lubbock from Duck hunting (Z will like that part) and I was the only person in the town at the time. I knew that b/c I could see down the main street from one end to the other. (it was that small). Of course Billy Bob pulled me over for ROLLING A STOP SIGN! Needless to say I'm not a female so I got a ticket! Not fair I tell you!

Well, you know that we all drive like Grandaddy! Although my mom has probably gotten one ticket in her life too, I have been pulled over a lot(mostly in D'field and Lone Star) Thank goodness for Grandaddy's name, because I never got a ticket in D'field. Oh to live in a small town again! :)
Vicki also gets pulled over a lot!
